13/05/2021

SAESA has awarded IM3 in May 2021 the development of Electrical and Civil Engineering of three new 66kV power substations in the San Fernando area, south of Santiago (Chile) and what makes it even more special is that one of the projects will be developed with BIM LOD 300.

The three sectioning-transformer substations for the O’Higgins Region will be built with AIS technology, Main plus Transfer Bus-Bar arrangement, and will include distribution metal-clad MV switchgear rooms.

The projects to be developed in 7 months are:

  • ‘Fuentecilla’ 66/15 kV – 30 MVA power substation
  • ‘Puquillay’ 66/13.2 kV – 16 MVA power substation
  • ‘Santa Cruz’ 66/13.2 kV – 30 MVA power substation

SAESA is the third power transmission company in Chile in number of installations, after Transelec and CGE. These projects correspond to works declared urgent, by Resolution of the CNE under application of Article 102 of the Law.

SAESA then joins our growing set of relevant clients for IM3 Chile.
