24 Feb Mining Profile for Digital Substations 61850
Minimum TCO and maximum Quality of Service benefits
The mining-profile is a specification of the 61850 standard that selects the mode of operation, determines the necessary options and specifies the operational requirements to raise the standards of Service of Substation Automation Systems (SAS) of Power Systems of mining facilities and processes.
The mining-profile implements modes and activation of maintenance functions that allow local or remote tests, preventive maintenance and alarms in real time, and an exhaustive reporting system that feeds the SCADA and Condition Monitoring services for management of assets.
The implementation of this profile is compatible with specific electromechanical/civil-structural schemes optimal for high-geographic-height mining projects, such as compact one-bay substations, hybrid HIS or compact GIS H-encapsulated arrangements, and mobile substations, giving robustness to the systems with the highest level of quality of services (QoS)
