Distributech 2024: Im3 in Orlando

From February 26 to 28, Distributech 2024, the main Conference and Exhibition show of the Distribution and Transmission sector in the USA, took place in Orlando.

During the event, Im3 was present and participated in the Intel Dinner Event at Dtech’24, a ceremony that brought together the main players in the transition process towards the digital and virtual substation.

The claim ‘OT & IT, now in perfect harmony’ that appears in the image of this new perfectly sums up the central theme of this year’s Distributech.

Another strong idea of the event is that the IEC 61850 is the enabling standard for the migration of conventional Substation Automation Systems (SAS) to distributed digital SAS (relay-room and yard-kiosk philosophies), Centralized Control and Protection (CPC) and virtual solutions (vPAC).

The balance from the attendees is very positive, and we hope to participate in Ditech 2025, which will take place in Dallas, Texas, from March 25 to 27.
