Next Sunday, May 21, the XIX CIGRE Regional Ibero-American Meeting (ERIAC) begins at 7:00 pm with the Opening Ceremonny and, subsequently, the Welcome Cocktail, at the Rafain Palace Hotel & Convention Center in Foz do Iguaçu – Paraná – Brasil.

ERIAC is the most important CIGRE International Seminar of the “CIGRE Ibero-American Region” – RIAC, which is composed of the CIGRE National Committees of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Portugal. This year the selection process received 784 proposals for abstracts, with 446 technical articles approved.

Technical papers will be presented in each of the 16 CIGRE Study Committees in 10 simultaneous rooms. The Technical Sessions lasting 90 minutes will consist of consecutive presentations of up to 4 articles, lasting 15 minutes each, followed at the end by 30 minutes of debates. The official languages are Portuguese and Spanish, with English exceptionally permitted.

Carlos Samitier, the CEO of Smart61850 from Im3 group, will present the article “Metodologías de Specification del SAS para Digitalización Integral de Substaciones” within the CE B5 committee, Protection&Automation, together with engineer Matías Sánchez from Red Eléctrica.
